Highway Crew Wanted

Town of Burke, Full-Time Road Crew Position Seeking full-time applicants for a position on the Town of Burke Highway Department Road Crew. CDL Class B w/Tanker endorsement required with medical card. Job includes physical labor, lifting, plowing, grading and requires some overtime. Highway winter maintenance and equipment operation experience preferred (Grader, Excavator, 10 Wheeler Plow Truck w/wing). Competitive Salary and Benefit package. Burke's Recycling & Trash

Burke accepts recycling at 212 School Street on Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. NEK Rubbish is also available to take your trash the same hours as recycling for a charge.

Burke Rubbish Service Discontinued

As of June 3, 2023, Curbside Recycling and Rubbish Pickup will no longer be provided by Burke. Instead, residents can hire a private trash vendor to pick up at your home. There will also be someone on site at the recycling building to take your trash for a fee.
