The residents of Burke can take their Hazardous Waste to Johnsbury behind the Fire Department (Main Street Parking Lot) Between 9am and 1:00pm May 16, 2026 and September 26, 2026.

Burke accepts recycling at 212 School Street on Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. NEK Rubbish is also available to take your trash, Wednesday, 3:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30 pm for a charge.
