The Independence Weekend celebration begins Friday, July 4th at 5:00 PM with Beautiful Wreck, a Rhode Island-based female-fronted rock band performing at Lakeside Park.
Saturday, July 5th features the Independence Day Parade at 11:00 AM, followed by the American Legion Chicken BBQ at noon on Railroad Street, serving chicken or sausage with all the fixings. The Independence Weekend Scavenger Hunt begins at 1:30 PM starting and ending at the Welcome Center.
The evening concludes with the Long Island-based Decadia on the Island Pond stage, at 6:00 PM. Fireworks launch at 9:30 PM over Island Pond.

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Burke accepts recycling at 212 School Street on Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. NEK Rubbish is also available to take your trash the same hours as recycling for a charge.
The Town of Burke is looking for civic minded candidates that may be interest in serving on the Planning Commission. This is a volunteer position. Planning Commission meetings are held at the Town Clerk's Office on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00PM

Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Bulky day June 21, 2025 from 8:00am to 12:00 pm at 51 Town Garage Road.
Must have a ticket. Tickets are $35 at the Town Clerks Office.
