Notice of Board of Civil Authority Hearings

Pursuant to the provisions of 32 V.S.A. 4404(b), notice is hereby given that the Board of Civil Authority (BCA) within and for the Town of Burke will on the 17th day Of August, at 5:00 p.m. meet at 212 School Street in West Burke in said town to hear appeals of persons, or other parties, who are aggrieved by the action of the board of listers and have timely filed their written appeal with the Burke Town Clerk. Hearings will continue Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. as scheduled with appellants until all parties are heard.

The Town of Burke is accepting bids from contractors to perform Roadside Mowing on approx. 51 miles of roadway. The work will consist of 2 passes on all Class II and III Town Highways. Cutting of overhanging tree limbs as necessary should be included. Should be completed between August 1st and September 15th, 2025 The contractor is responsible for proper signage. Bids are due Monday June 2, 2025 by 4:00 PM at the Burke Town Clerk's Office, 212 School Street, West Burke, VT 05871. Bids should be in a sealed envelope and labeled Roadside Mowing Bid. Bids will be opened at the Selectboard Meeting Monday, June 2, 2025 at 6:00 PM. The Selectboard reserves the right to reject any and all bids
