SAND SHED TAP TA22(3)



Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of Burke Sand Shed TAP TA22(3) will be received by the Town of Burke (Owner) at the Burke Town Offices, 212 School Street, West Burke, VT 05871 until 10:00am on May 22, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publically opened and read aloud. Proposals submitted later than this date and time will not be opened, and will be rejected.


The project involves construction of a new sand and salt shed, along with all related site work. The building will be a 130’ x 80’ steel arch and fabric structure set on stacked precast concrete block foundation walls with an asphalt floor. Site work to include excavation and grading for the building and drainage.

A pre-bid meeting has not been scheduled for this project. Site visits are optional. We recommend contractors do independent site visits and submit any questions to Mike Harris, Town of Burke, 212 School St, West Burke, VT 05871, 802.376.3706 (harris37@yahoo.com). Questions will be received until 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.


Contractors must comply with any and all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, regulations, and/or requirements of federal, state, and local governments and agencies thereof, which relate to or in any manner affect the performance of this project.


Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) will have the opportunity to participate to the maximum extent feasible in procurement and contracting.

Burke accepts recycling at 212 School Street on Wednesday, Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. NEK Rubbish is also available to take your trash, Wednesday, 3:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30 pm for a charge.
